I had a lot of fun creating this "Fighter" character for CGMA's Advanced Stylized Character Art for Games course. The course was mentored by Weston Ried (https://www.artstation.com/westonreid), based off of a really awesome concept by youngjaecho (https://file.gamejob.co.kr/net/Community/Gallery/View?FN=/Image/2023/11/Portfolio_img_01091409_1.jpg)
I really enjoy working in stylized realism, and this course gave me chance to learn some new tricks and techniques that I can apply to my personal and professional work. I also took this opportunity to get back into Maya again, using it to unwrapping my Uvs, rig with Advanced Skeleton, and do the skinning. Look dev was done in Marmoset 4, but the plan is to get her setup in UE5 next.
Besides being mentored by Weston, I had the privilege of taking the class with a few my colleagues, who were a great source of feedback, learning and advice. I am so thankful for all your support throughout the last 10 weeks; Gerritt Perkins (https://www.artstation.com/gurtperk) and Olivia Sullivan (https://www.artstation.com/oliviasullivan).
